During the procedure, hyaluronidase is carefully injected directly into the area where the filler is present. One of the key advantages of hyaluronidase is how quickly it works. Results can often be seen within hours, with further improvement continuing over the next 24 to 72 hours, depending on the amount of filler and the area treated. In certain cases, more than one session may be required to achieve the desired outcome, especially if a large volume of filler was originally injected.
Once the filler has been successfully dissolved and the area has fully settled, it is possible to re-treat the same area with dermal filler if desired. Re-injection can usually be safely carried out after two weeks, allowing sufficient time for healing and for the natural tissues to stabilise.
