Scalp micro pigmentation (SMP)

Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a safe, non-surgical treatment intended to replicate the hair follicle at its shortest length. When completed, this procedure will create the illusion of a full head of hair.

This treatment is suitable for all types of hair loss -male and female. Appropriate for clients with alopecia, hair thinning, boldness and partial boldness. This technique is recommended for individuals suffering from pattern baldness, different forms of alopecia, scalp scarring from surgery or accident, thinning of the hair or scalp disorder.

During the treatment

This treatment will take place over 3 sessions each one lasting approximately 1-3 hours depending on the area treated.

The first session referred to as “template” focuses on the design of the hairline and the side profile. The practitioner will work on the entire area of the head but with no density.

The second session will focus on density by applying a darker pigment.

The third session will focus on details and recommendations regarding aftercare.

Before the treatment

  • Starting 14 days prior to the treatment, apply moisturising cream to your scalp on a daily basis. This will help eliminate any dry or damaged skin to enable the best results.
  • If you wear a hair replacement system, please try to come to the clinic without one, possibly wear a hat or a cap instead.
  • Do not wet-shave or razor-shave your existing hair on the day of the treatment unless this is already your daily routine.
  • No alcohol or blood thinners are to be consumed prior to the treatment. All medication must be disclosed during the consultation.

Strict aftercare advice will be given. For the first 4 days avoid touching the treated area, showering and shaving it. Avoid direct sunlight. Avoid activities that causes excessive sweating and refrain from using swimming pools, steam rooms, saunas.

Price range from £450 to £2800 depending on extent of the treated area. Full price will be given after the consultation on the day.
